Summary: Where are the REAL crashes?!
Comment: Looking for a little something to help me waste some free time (and write a customer review about), I headed on over to the sports/documentary section at the local video rental shack. That's where I found this particular tape, which featured my fave moments (actually, the ONLY decent moments) in auto racing: crashes, collisions, crack-ups, & burn-ups. Sadly, I found myself a bit disappointed when I finally gave this tape-- filled primarily with supposedly "spectacular" European Grand Prix carnage-- a view. Most of the crashes and collisions were rather pedestrian and mundane. You know, mostly spinouts, fishtails, and a car nudging another one into a wall with minimum carnage, if any. On the upside, there were a few halfway-decent pileups. Unfortunately, there weren't nearly enough of those amazing end-over-end flips where the car just disintegrates into a zillion pieces as it does endless flips down the track, the shrapnel going into the stands and takin' out a few spectators. You know, the good stuff. Throw in a few completely unnecessary moments featuring several (mostly British) drivers talking about the dangers involved in their so-called "sport" & several very VERY slow slo-mo replays set to Strauss waltzes, and this allegedly one-hour-long video's running time (actually just forty-five minutes) is cut in half with all of my fast-forwarding through the boring stuff. C'mon guys, forget about Mario Andretti philosophizing over his mortality and the molasses-running-uphill slo-mos! Just focus on the freakin' crashes, all right?! Sheesh...

Needless to say, if you're lookin' for some really spectacular auto-racing "havoc", I suggest you look elsewhere. Heck, I spent just a buck renting this, then wasted a mere half-hour of my life viewin' it, and I STILL feel like I got ripped off...
